Activities in Santiago

We believe the cultural activity program is an important part of the language learning experience. Not only do you get to know other students, teachers and school staff, but it offers you an excellent opportunity to experience the Chilean culture. Most cultural activities during the week are for free. We also offer weekend excursions and (day) tours which have an small additional cost. Some examples are:

Weekday cultural activities:

The museum house of Pablo Neruda.
Visit to the main cemetery of Santiago
Grammar workshop
Various guided city tours through Santiago downtown or a few of its bohemian neighbourhoods
Salsa classes followed by a night out in Bellavista
Visit to the ‘Concha y Toro’ wine yard

Weekend excursions and day tours:

Guided visit to Valparaíso
One day visit to Pomaire, a typical countryside town outside Santiago
Cycling tour through some of the natural wonders in and around Santiago
A 2,5 hour hike to the Morado Glacier
